Scott Berta, M.D.
Dr. Berta is a senior resident at Stanford where he completed an enfolded neurospine fellowship. Prior to Stanford, he completed the early part of his neurosurgery residency at UC San Diego and has participated in over 1,000 spine and brain surgery procedures. In addition to a strong clinical background, he is also actively involved in research and publication, and has co-authored over 40 publications in science and medical journals on a wide breadth of surgical and scientific topics. Outside of the OR, Scott has an interest in physician entrepreneurship and has has completed business coursework at Wharton and was recently awarded the Kaufmann Fellowship in Venture Capital. Scott is deeply interested in the promotion of neuroscience education and training worldwide. He has committed great time and effort into being one of the founders and Chairman of a neurosurgery non-profit organization called Open Mind Neurosurgical International (OMNI) web address: www.omnidoc.org
Ultimately, Scott would like to see OMNI grow into an international organization that makes a significant and lasting impact on people’s lives that are in need of neurosurgical treatment and services.
