Robert Lober, M.D., Ph.D.
Rob was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He served in the military prior to receiving his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. During his graduate studies mentored by Dr. Nevin Lambert, he studied G protein-coupled receptor signaling at central synapses. His dissertation focused on the role of lateral membrane diffusion of neuronal receptors in neurotransmitter signaling. His current interests are in pediatric neurosurgery and basic neuroscience research. Outside of neurosurgery, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, in addition to gardening, hunting, and fishing.
