Midfacelift / Cheeklift

Midface lifts (or cheek lifts) are rapidly gaining popularity among patients in the San Francisco Bay Area (Marin, Walnut Creek, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Los Gatos). A midface lift refers to 'lifting' of the tissue in triangle formed by the two corners of each eye and the corner of the mouth. This area, known as the midface, can begin to descend in one's 30s or early 40s.

A midface lift can reverse the subtle changes that occur with age. The restoration of a youthful, 'mounded' cheek is the goal.

The Procedure

Dr. Most uses the most advanced endoscopic techniques to perform this surgery. A small incision is made in the hairline above the ear, and another above the gumline in the mouth. The procedure can be done under 'twilight' anesthesia or completely asleep. Dr. Most can help you decide which type of anesthesia would work best for you.

Patients may expect 7-10 days of swelling in the cheeks and some mild bruising.
