The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Stanford has a long tradition of providing quality clinical care of children and adolescents across the board range of pediatric endocrinology disorders. We evaluate and treat children with growth disorders, precocious and delayed puberty, thyroid and adrenal disorders, sex chromosome disorders (particularly Turner syndrome), abnormal bone development, and other hormonal problems. We also evaluate and treat children and adolescent with abnormalities of glucose metabolism including both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. We have extensive experience managing both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in young patients. Our Diabetes Education Program is recognized by the America Diabetes Association and offers classes twice a month. We have active insulin pump program, treating children of all ages, and have particular expertise in using glucose sensors.
