    A minicourse that provides an introduction to the social science literature on factors contributing to gender disparities in the scientific workplace.

  • Gender and Intersectionality in Global Health

    This course explores how gender identity and relationships intersect with other social categorization to create systemic advantages or disadvantages that may explain and/or could address poor health outcomes within and across global communities.

  • Community Health Advocacy Course

    A three-quarter course series providing students with knowledge and concrete skills for working with and advocating for underserved populations.

  • Asian American Culture, Medicine, and Mental Health

    In this lunch talk series, students will explore the interaction of Asian-American culture and the practice of medicine, through personal and professional perspectives and narractives of physicians and others in healthcare.

    An innovative course training for high school students from underserved communities to become diabetes self-management coaches for their diabetic family members and friends.

  • Queer Health and Medicine

    This course explores specific, pertinent, and timely issues impacting the health of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, and examines the role of the primary care physician in addressing the health care needs of this community.

  • Discussions in Global Health

    The goal of Discussions in Global Health is to encourage students to think broadly about the variety of activities encompassed within global health and the roles of various entities, including NGOs, governments, and healthcare providers, in responding to large-scale health crises, building health systems, and caring for patients in developing countries.

  • Social and Environmental Determinants of Health

    This course explores the processes through which social status and environmental determinants adversely affect health and drive inequalities.

  • Diversifying Graduate Admissions
