#StanfordToo: A Conversation about Sexual Harassment in Our Academic Spaces

Sapp Center Room 111

A culture of gender and sexual harassment is not trivial, and doesn’t necessarily have a simple solution, but that’s no excuse. This culture of gender-based harassment impacts everyone, and it also impacts science. Stanford must build a better culture and take swift action for its campus, for its labs, and for its future.

Individuals of ALL GENDERS are invited to join a conversation about how Stanford can take concrete action to dismantle this culture and actively work towards creating a more inclusive culture for everyone. The event features panelists from university leadership, including Provost Drell, Dean Minor, Vice Dean Boxer, and Senior Associate Dean Talbot, with plenty of time for audience discussion about concrete actions to address this problem. While we will place an emphasis on STEM fields in this conversation, participation from students, postdocs, staff, and faculty of all academic disciplines and backgrounds is welcomed and encouraged.
