Strength Training Regimen fOr Normal weiGht Diabetics (STRONG-D) Study

The Strength Training Regimen for Normal Weight Diabetics (STRONG-D) Study is a collaborative effort between the Stanford University School of Medicine and 24 Hour Fitness. The STRONG-D Study is designed to evaluate the best exercise program for people with type 2 diabetes who are at normal weight. This study is funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health.


The Strength Training Regimen for Normal Weight Diabetics (STRONG-D) Study is designed to evaluate the best exercise program for people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who are at normal weight. This study is funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health.

In collaboration with 24 Hour Fitness, study participants will go to their closest 24 Hour Fitness location for the exercise intervention. Partner gyms are located in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and Newark.
