Stanford's magnificent campus stands as a testament to the visionary philanthropists who have invested generously in its construction. Indeed, the names that grace so many campus features — research and patient care facilities, classrooms and laboratories, auditoriums, plazas, and more — comprise an honor roll of some of the University's most generous friends.
We invite you to learn more about two major priorities of The Stanford Challenge, each of which offers donors and opportunity to create a permanent, visible legacy:
- The first of three Stanford Institutes of Medicine research buildings, SIM1 will foster multidisciplinary research in cancer, stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, and neurosciences.
- The Learning and Knowledge Center will provide leading-edge facilities for the training of medical and biomedical students and house a variety of services — from a digital library to a full-service conference center — to foster communication and collaboration.
