Healthy Controls: Brain Imaging Study in Depression

Paid MRI study at Stanford University

Researchers at Stanford University are seeking people who are curently healthy to participate in a research study that investigates changes in brain activity during treatment of depression. The study takes place at Stanford University Medical Center and pays $175 for three MRI scans over a period of 8 weeks.

To be eligible:
--Men and women ages 18-55 years old
--No current or history of psychiatric or neurological disorders
--No seizure disorder or history of head trauma
--No metal in the body or tattoos near the head

The study requires a screening visit, which will take approximately 90 minutes. During the screening, an assessment of psychiatric and neurological history will be done.

Once eligibility is determined, participants will come to Stanford 3 times over 8 weeks for 60-90 minutes each visit. During these 3 visits, memory and concentration tests and an MRI scan will be performed. Participants will receive $25 for the memory test and $50 for each of MRI scans.
