AHFTC Application Process
Requirements of the AHFTC Fellowship include:
- Completion and passing of all three USMLE steps
- ABIM board certified or board eligible in core cardiology
- The accepted applicant must obtain a California medical license
- A valid ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates
- Only J1 visas accepted
- Completion of previous cardiology fellowship training is required

2020 Medical Specialties Matching Program for 2021 Appointments:
- IMPORTANT DATES FOR APPLICANTS TASK: DATE: WHAT THIS MEANS ERAS 2021 Season Begins June 2020 Applications can be submitted to programs via ERAS
- Please note that some or all interviews may be conducted virtually this year.
- Interview season September to October 2020*
- Programs will invite applicants and conduct interviews
- Ranking Opens October 2020 Candidates and programs can submit rank lists
- Rank Order List Certification Deadline
- November 2020 at 9:00 p.m. ET
- Rank order lists are due
- Match Day December 2020 at noon, ET
- Fellowships Begin July 1, 2021
