It scared me to death when I realized I didn't want a career in science or even my Ph.D.; what else was I going to do? I presented a list of what I was looking for in a career to friends, family, and the Stanford Career Development Center (CDC). After learning about and researching various career opportunities, consulting emerged as an ideal fit. Prior to my
search, I knew nothing about the field. To learn more and to improve my interviewing skills, I read numerous guides and became a regular at the CDC and here in the School of Medicine Career Center (SoMCC). The hard work and countless hours paid off, and now I can't wait to start my new job in March, 2006. I look forward to the permanently steep learning curve, problem solving, and constant teamwork.
