“Attorney” is typically the first profession that comes to mind, but there are many careers within this sector for medics and scientists that require little formal legal training. Technical biomedical expertise is critical to successfully structuring mergers & acquisitions, managing intellectual property, establishing claims on patents, and executing licensing deals, among other activities within this sector.
