Alumni AAAS S&T Fellows – Info Coming Soon!

Overview:

Since 1973, more than 2,400 AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellows have bridged the divide between science and public policy, gaining significant knowledge about the federal government system while advancing their careers and helping promote science in the U.S. and around the globe.  Year-long opportunities are available in approximately 30 congressional offices and more than 15 federal agencies in Washington, DC.

Project Director, Outreach/Recruitment, Salaeha Shariff will present information on available opportunities, qualifications, the application process, and how the program can enhance your career.  Alumni AAAS S&T Fellows will also share their experiences.  Graduate/medical students, post-docs, residents/physicians, alumni and faculty from all fields of science, social science, engineering and medicine are invited to attend.

Applicants must hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree (DVM, etc.) in any physical, biological, medical/health, computer science, economics, mathematics, social/behavioral science, engineering, or any relevant interdisciplinary field.  A master’s degree in any engineering field plus 3 years of professional experience also qualifies.  All degree requirements must be completed by the application deadline, 5 December.  Federal employees are not eligible and U.S. citizenship is required.  For more information, see: fellowships.aaa.org
