In this presentation, Dr. Jean-luc Doumont will advance explanations for this situation, discuss the challendes of communicating science to nonscientists, and propose strategies for doing a better job of it. An engineer from the Louvain School of Engineering with a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford UNiversity, Jean-luc Doumont trains engineers and scientists in effective communication, pedagogy, statistical thinkng, and related themes.
