Come find out about Science Bus, an after-school program for elementary school kids at the East Palo Alto Charter School!

Science Bus does hands-on experiments with 2nd-5th graders on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4-6pm. Instructors also teach a monthly class to 7th graders. Time commitment is flexible with some tutors coming every week and others coming once a month. The program is open to grad students, undergrads, and postdocs alike.

This quarter, the kids will be building all kinds of awesome "rotational" devices, from propeller boats to water wheels, and at the end of the quarter they will come to Stanford to test their creations at a competition called the Science Olympics.

Science Bus is having an recruitment dinner on Thursday, January 13th, at 6:30pm in the Nairobi Room of the Graduate Community Center (750 Escondido Road). Come meet us and enjoy excellent Indian food!
