Promising technologies, products, and services need to be coupled with a compelling business model to be truly successful and innovative, especially in the highly competitive and rapidly evolving fields of Healthcare and Life Sciences. Ecosystem Mapping, or evaluating one's business in the co-dependent network of customers, competition, regulators and collaborators within which we operate, allows one to better address difficult questions like "What is our value proposition? To which customers is it addressed? How will the value be delivered? How will our assumptions be affected by changes within our ecosystem?". It is essential to carefully design how products and services grow, evolve, and interact with other components of this dynamic ecosystem. In this session, we will explore Ecosystem Mapping as an innovation tool for evaluating these inter-dependencies, identifying new growth opportunities, defining business models, and ultimately enabling successful commercial launch and competitive advantage in the market.
