For nine years, our conference has hosted leaders in bioinformatics, systems biology and computer science as keynote speakers, scientific presenters and attendees. Previous invited speakers have included Nobel prize winner Sydney Brenner, Turing Award winner Richard Karp, Leroy Hood and many other distinguished speakers.

The conference’s goal is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and collaborations between computer scientists and biologists by presenting cutting-edge computational biology research findings. We will again be soliciting competitively peer-reviewed, high impact manuscripts describing novel methods, analysis and/or discovery in bioinformatics. Additionally, this year will feature poster abstracts to be presented as short talks during the conference, giving researchers and trainees an opportunity to present their latest work.

To kick of the event, the Stanford Biomedical Informatics Program in conjunction with LSS is hosting a Biomedical Informatics and Biocomputation Networking Mixer on Monday, August 16, at 5pm.
