Make Your Case: Preparation and Practice for Consulting Case Interviews

This program helps those participants interested in the consulting field understand the case interview process, practice the methods learned, and receive feedback from fellow researchers and an experienced professional in the field. (Limited to 40 participants)

Topics to be addressed include:

    • Overview of consulting interview methods and how to best leverage your medical and life science training
    • Understanding of how the case interview model assesses your fit for the consulting field
    • Sample case study and recommendations for effective frameworks and solutions
    • Opportunity for hands-on practice and feedback from an alumni representative in the field

    About the Speaker:
    Jim Audet is Director of Partner Operations in Bain’s San Francisco office.  Jim first joined Bain in 1993 as a Summer Associate and in 1994 began full time as a Consultant in San Francisco.  Jim’s consulting work was primarily focused on healthcare with payers, providers, and life science companies. 

    Prior to rejoining Bain & Company in 2008,  Jim was a Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates (a global executive recruiting firm) for 10 years.  At Russell Reynolds Jim recruited senior healthcare executives globally with a special focus on biotech and pharmaceutical executives.  Prior to his first stint at Bain, Jim attended Stanford Business School.   Prior to that Jim practiced primary care internal medicine in Boston and subsequently in Palo Alto.  Jim completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California San Francisco.  He served on the clinical faculty of both Harvard and Stanford Medical Schools.  Jim is currently on the Advisory Council for Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School.

    Jim received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and an A.M. in chemistry from Harvard University.  Jim earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and his MBA from Stanford Business School.
