Overview:

Join us for this valuable workshop on developing assertiveness in multiple areas of your life. Whether you'd like to improve your relationship with your advisor, present yourself well on the job market, or gain confidence in social settings and your personal relationships, this interactive workshop is for you! Participants will learn specific differences between assertive, aggressive, and passive language, as well as helpful strategies for asserting yourself in your personal and professional life. Lecture, demonstration, small-group solving, and role-playing will be utilized. Sharon Bower is a nationally known specialist in communication training and has written three books: Painless Public Speaking, Asserting Yourself, and The Assertive Advantage.
