A Passage to Innovation in the Life Sciences

CONTENT (WHAT?): The theme of this conference is Innovation in the Life Sciences in the US and India, and will feature prominent industry leaders from both countries. A diverse group of speakers will include entrepreneurs, CEO’s, scientists and investors spanning the life science industry, from Biotech, Pharma, BioIT, Intellectual Property to Diagnostics and Medical devices. The speakers will address the breadth of innovation across the value chain, focusing not only on new technologies, but also showcasing novel business models, new financing strategies, inventive processes, creative management techniques and breakthroughs in product design.

AUDIENCE (WHO?): This conference will appeal to all life science industry professionals as well as those who are new to the industry and are looking to learn more. Constituents will also include those who share an interest in global markets, especially India. The conference will feature innovation in product design and novel financing strategies for the impoverished and underserved populations of the world. India’s role as an emerging global pharmaceutical and biotech player will also be addressed.

RELEVANCE (WHY?): Health care and the life sciences are large industry sectors that are relatively resistant to economic downturns. Moreover, this industry is rapidly globalizing and India is emerging as a strong player. Furthermore, innovative public-private partnerships have enabled industry to serve previously underserved, disadvantaged populations in India and other developing nations. This is also an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues in the industry. The conference is intentionally planned to coincide with the annual JP Morgan Health Care conference in San Francisco to enable the participation of out-of -state and international attendees. Lastly, in light of the current economic climate, this conference is exceptionally priced to make it widely affordable and hence excellent value for the caliber of speakers and richness of content.
