Event details:

Despite declining economic trends, successful Biotech and Medical Device companies continue to enjoy healthy demand in established and emerging product lines and markets. Indeed, some are pushing successfully into new areas, focusing on patients needs and bringing outcomes-centric healthcare products and services to the market. In the long run, global demographics and socio-economic trends point to increasing world wide demand for healthcare products. Rapidly rising costs will help fuel the adoption of innovative and efficient healthcare products and technologies.

Within this context, all healthcare executives must respond to threatening changes in their markets and consider the long-term impact of economic disruptions. These uncertain times demand that all companies adopt restrained spending and improved efficiencies, even while trying to expand market share and maintain profitability. Today, there are no biotech or device companies that can delay evaluating and revising spending patterns throughout their organizations.

This panel will review recent trends in cost-cutting and cost based transformation in this industry.
A particular focus will be placed on Project Portfolio Management, with critical implications for the Life-Sciences as well as High-Tech sectors.

Our speakers will share their experiences and we will discuss some examples of how industry leaders are navigating in tougher times while staying focused on winning the race.
