Event details:   Clinical research with experimental devices, drugs and biologicals in human subjects confers a major responsibility of protecting safety, rights, and well-being of human subjects. The aim of this course is to inform participants about the development of new devices and drugs through the clinical research process and the Good Clinical Practices (GCP) involved in protecting subjects in clinical research. GCP requirements relating to the consent process and obtaining an ethics committee’s opinion, the process involved in setting up a clinical trial and the GCP requirements at each stage will be dealt with. At the end of the course, participants should have a good understanding of GCP and the clinical research process, be aware of the need to comply with GCP and be aware of the most important GCP responsibilities.
