Quick Start Guide

1. Watch the video

Get a tour of CAP Network and learn how easy it is to get started. Video length: 3 min 45 sec

2. Fill out your profile

Upload a photo and tell colleagues about your skills and background. See short training videos for help with changing your visibilty settings, email notifications and more.

Note: Your profile has to at least be available to the internal Stanford community for you to use CAP's collaboration features.

3. Create and join groups

Create your own private group for real-time collaborations with your colleagues. See Using Groups in the CAP Network.

4. Follow relevant people

Click to follow the people in your immediate network and explore the directory to make new connections.

5. Set up email notifications

By default, you'll receive a daily digest of the activity of the people and groups that you're following. You can change this to get a weekly digest or an email alert for every post to a group. There is also a nonsecure email option if you are forwarding your Stanford email to a non-Stanford address. See Email Notification settings.
