Training Program

The fundamental fundamental elements of the Training Program in Biostatistics for Personalized Medicine are:

Coursework
Completion of core PhD requirements in Statistics, plus a set of personalized medicine courses in biostatistics, genomics and medicine, and research conduct.

Exposure to current research topics and mentored research
Participation in the Workshop in Biostatistics (HRP 260/STATS 260), Study Design Workshop, and Statistical Consulting Workshop (STATS 390).

Training in collaborative work
Internship with one biomedical laboratory.

Participation in PhD program meetings
Meet with program participants and faculty twice a quarter and at the annual retreat.
