The Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD) makes it possible for professionals from around the world to enroll in Stanford University courses and programs in parallel with pursuing their careers. Offerings from the School of Engineering and related Stanford University departments are delivered online, at Stanford, at company work sites, and at international locations to provide a global community of learners with flexibility and convenience while enabling them to apply their education to their work.
During the 2016-17 academic year, Stanford Biodesign will be retooling our portfolio of distance learning offerings and rethinking the experiences we provide to distance learners. The Stanford Biodesign graduate certificate we previously offered is discontinued as of June 15, 2016. We hope to make a new set of offerings available in 2017-18.
In the meantime, interested students from outside of Stanford can still take MS&E256 - Technology Assessment and Regulation of Medical Devices , which is offered each spring.
Stanford Biodesign has also developed an open-source video library on the biodesign innovation process, which you can explore at your own pace.
