Bhalla Laboratory

Molecular Mechanisms of Kidney Disease

Welcome

Bhalla Laboratory uses in vivo and in vitro approaches to study mechanisms of glomerular and tubular physiology critical to kidney health and disease. We began working on fundamental regulators of tubular transport and have expanded to study these modes of regulation in metabolic disease including obesity, insulin resistance, and hypertension.

Mission Statement

The Bhalla laboratory is dedicated to using and developing innovative methodologies to discover novel molecular mechanisms and therapies for kidney health in an environment committed to respect for others, excellence, responsibility, and diversity.
