Interdepartmental Programs: Seminar Series

The Beckman Center has become a critical source of support for programs that are seeking to achieve the necessary momentum to become recognized as important sources of scientific discovery and teaching. Although individual contributions to departmental seminar series and student-run conferences are small, this funding often makes the difference as to whether or not the events will take place.

The Beckman funds play a vital role in encouraging interaction and collaboration among scholars at Stanford, and in assuring that the results of the research conducted here is being broadly disseminated and discussed.

The Interdepartmental Seminar Series are produced and supported with Beckman Funds. We have provided funding for the following departmental series:

  • The Annual Beckman Symposium
  • Beckman Translational Research Symposium
  • Frontiers in Biological Research: Developmental Biology
  • Frontiers in Biological Research: Genetics
  • Frontiers in Biological Research: Biochemistry
  • Frontiers in Biological Research: Neuroscience
