A beautiful Sunday!
|
Today was a beautiful Sunday! God blessed us with beautiful weather, which sure has been a great break from the much rain that we had been getting.
I had breakfast in the morning with my fiance at Hobbees (I love their coffee cake). We then went to church at St. Joseph's in Mountain View (by the way that is where I live).
Going to church on Sunday's is very important to me. I have much to be thankful for. I have been blessed in many, many ways!

After church, my fiance and I noticed that the city of Mountain View was having their yearly arts and crafts festival. We decided to take a walk to check things out.
|
We enjoyed seeing the many beautiful arts and crafts. We also enjoyed corn on the cob.
We took a small detour to the farmers market and bought beautiful roses, asparagus and brussel sprouts.
One thing that we noticed was how expensive the veggies we bought were ($11.00 for both). I then thought to myself it is no wonder how sometimes it must be too expensive for families to buy healthy veggies.
After the festival, I had to go into lab to do some work on my current research project. It is crunch time for me since I am nearing the end of my research project and have my experiments to finish.
I enjoy the work I do in lab very much. I am using a stroke model in rats to study a molecular pathway called extracellular regulated kinase pathway. Anyhow, enough about that I will have the rest of the week to talk about my research, since that does take up most of my time during the week:)
Finally, I am a huge Sopranos fan. I can honestly say that I have watched every single episode to date including tonight's. It is a great show and I can't wait to see how the final season 6 ends!
Friday, my fiance and I went to go watch Mission Impossible III. It was the best one so far!
|
Yesterday, Saturday May 6th, was also a great day! We had family and friends over to watch the Oscar de La Hoya vs. Mayorga fight. I love all kinds of sports (boxing is one of them).
|
We had great food. My fiance and I cooked together brisket (we enjoy cooking) and everyone was pleased when De La Hoya knocked Mayorga out! Here are some pics of me with my nephew, future mother-in-law, and one of me cooking.

One upsetting thing was that the Los Angeles Lakers lost game 7 of the first round playoffs.
If you remember I was born in LA, so I have been a Laker fan ever since I can remember and this was the first time that Phil Jackson has lost a first round of the playoffs, but that's okay. I am still a faithful Laker fan and I am very impressed how far they came from the beginning of the season, not to mention, Kobe's 81 point game! Go Lakers!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my Sunday. Tomorrow, will be a busy day in the lab which I will share with you about tomorrow night!
