Random Saturday
Do ever have those dreams that are just so vivid that you almost question whether or not it actually happened? To the point where there are almost remnants of the emotions that you had in the dream.
I have had extremely vivid dreams since I was a little kid. My mom used to tell me it was because she couldn't find the off button for my brain, so she couldn't even pause it during the night. She said that I few times about our mouths too, then again she had four of us talking at the same time.
Anyway, as a result of my random dreams, I used to read a lot about them, and the idea of dreams being the subconscious coming forward. Since I didn't have anything to do in lab, homework was done, my roommate had woken up at the butt-crack of dawn and done all the chores I'd wanted to do, I spent the day completely on non-school stuff.
I started with lunch with my cousin, my only family up in the Bay, and then started running errands... some even purely pampering errands. It really helped me clear my head about quite a few things that had been on my mind lately.
I got so lost in my own mind, though, I ended up being almost two hours late to this BBQ Justin had invited me to in the city. I am so glad I went. Some other people from Stanford ended up being there and I got to know them a bit more.
I'm the first to admit that when I first meet people, I can be really quiet and reserved and then as you get to know me, you get to see how random I truly am. I can have amazingly adult responsible moments followed by silly childlike fun moments. Keep it balanced... the whole work-hard and play-hard mentality.
The BBQ was a great warm-up for the night. It's my friend Brandon's birthday on Tuesday. We were at State together and have known each other about three years now.
I used to make the joke that he reminds me so much of my brother and it's like having more family in town... until we realized that he and my brother share the same birthday. It was kinda weird... but I can't blame two cool people for being born on the same day. Although, I would like to tell you about all the fun we all had I must refrain... I could want to run for president one day.;)
