Training for Staff
There are many options for job training and professional development. Regular, benefits-eligible employees can use STAP funds for most of the fee-based classes available below (more on STAP funds). Also, consider taking advantage of free classes offered through Lane Library and ITSS (links below).
Some training resources:
- DoResearch Compliance Training - training for research administrators (All those who regularly initiate purchases on sponsored projects must achieve Level One certification. This includes the following courses: "Starting out at Stanford", "Cost Policy", and "The Regulatory Environment".)
- Health Screening, Safety, and Compliance (HSSC) Program - health screening and training for Clinical Research Staff
- Gateway to Financial Activities Web Site is where you go to learn about how to do financial tasks at Stanford.
- Continuing Studies - an eclectic mix of evening classes taught by Stanford professors
- ITSS Technology Training - master the art of computing
- Training and Organizational Development - increase productivity and relevant skills
- Lane Medical Library - library- and research-related classes
- HIP - health and wellness classes offered to the University by SPRC
