Health & Safety - Emergency Procedures

What to Do:
If fire alarms go off, take your personal belongs and quickly evacuate the building. Go to one of the Emergency Assembly Points (EAP).

Look for designated SPRC staff in orange hard hats at each EAP. Check in with one of them so we can account for everyone to make sure no one is missing or remains inside the building.

Do not return to the building for any reason until it has been declared safe to do so by emergency officials (e.g., firemen, designated staff).

If a major emergency occurs, Diana Fox or Elsie Wang will record an emergency message on the SPRC emergency hotline: (650) 723-1000. Call this number from home to receive instructions about the status of our department and when you may return to campus.

Be sure your contact information is current. If you have recently moved, or changed your phone number, please update your contact information on Stanford. You and submit a new Personal Information Form to Garrett Joseph.

Always keep your badge with you. Not only does it identify you as a Stanford employee, but the accompanying emergency card contains important information you may need.
