From its founding days to the present time, Arbor has been staffed by Stanford medical, graduate, and undergraduate students. Clinical cases are overseen by an attending physician or resident. Because Arbor operates as a teaching clinic, patients should anticipate being evaluated by multiple individuals.
No. Arbor sees patients on a walk-in basis between 8 AM and 12 PM every Sunday. Doors open at 8 AM. Please arrive early! Dates for specialty clinics vary and should be confirmed prior to arrival. Confirmed specialty clinic patients should arrive at the scheduled time.
The self-scheduling tool may also be used to select a later timeslot. Walk in patients will always be accepted while we are open, regardless of whether timeslots are full.
We make every effort to ensure that patients are treated in a timely fashion. However, the wait will be longer than for similar services provided elsewhere, likely 3-4 hours. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis and are evaluated by at least one student before seeing a physician.
We cannot refill medications by phone or email. We can give a 90-day supply of most medications if you come to clinic and are seen by a doctor. We require all patients to establish care with a medical home outside of Arbor.
