Roy B. Cohn Bioskills Laboratory
The Roy B. Cohn Bioskills Laboratory offers facilities for surgical procedure training and the development of special skills needed for developing new technologies using human cadaveric material.
For many years the Division of Human Anatomy has made available fresh and embalmed cadavers for the study of applied anatomy by clinicians, and for the development of teaching adjuncts in the cinevideo and computer image domains. In addition, the Bioskills Laboratory has been made available to outside interests who have used the facility to assist in the development of new biomedical technologies and devices.
We provide this laboratory for research and development of new medical and surgical procedures, to make available a site for teaching, and for the development of special skills necessary in use of newly-developed technologies. This facility also provides a setting for the assessment of skills of individual professionals who intend to embark on clinical practice utilizing recently developed techniques.
