Website
With all the changes taking place, at Stanford School of Medicine, one being the curriculum, it seemed only logical that the Stanford Medical Alumni Association should take steps to update and improve its services as well. The first step will take place over the next few months as we revamp the SMAA Website. During this phase, we plan to offer our members a searchable alumni database, on-line reunion and event registration, weekly updates of what is happening on and around the medical school campus, and easy to use polls and surveys so that we can get feedback from you, our audience.
So plan to check back soon to see these new resources and explore the new pages. We look forward to your feedback.
New educational projects
Support the new medical education facilities with a gift to the Stanford Medical Fund!
Stanford is poised to take an important leap forward in the training of physicians and biomedical scientists. The Stanford Medicine Information and Learning Environment (SMILE) will create opportunities for exchange and encourage interaction among students, teachers, researchers, and clinicians that can lead to fresh insights in biomedicine and patient care. SMILE will do more than replace our outdated educational and library facilities. It will become both the "front door" and the „heart‰ of the School of Medicine. SMILE will be designed to accommodate the rapid evolution of technology, yet sustain the fundamentals of a well-rounded medical education based on humanism and technical expertise.
Please consider making your annual contribution to the Stanford Medical Fund today. Thanks for your support! Mail your gift to: Stanford Medical Fund, Office of Medical Development, 2700 Sand Hill Rd., Menlo Park, CA 94025, or make your gift online.
