What's on the Academic Affairs Website
This website provides information for School of Medicine faculty, administrators, people holding other teaching titles at the school, and others seeking information about Stanford faculty.
Please note the new navigation tabs at the top of the screen, which will help you to find information more quickly.
- The Faculty Handbook for the School explains lines, ranks, and criteria for appointment, reappointment and promotion in all faculty and other teaching lines.
- FAST|FAC is the School of Medicine's Faculty A&P System Tracking File Assembly Completion system for Professoriate (UTL, MCL, NTL) faculty reappointment and promotion files.
- Administrators have their own home page with tools and guidelines for Professoriate faculty actions; guidelines for Clinician/Educators and those in the Other Teaching Title category can be found on their own home pages under the appropriate top tab menu (for example, Acting Faculty under Other Teaching Titles).
- Faculty members will find information specific to them (for example, on sabbaticals for Professoriate members, or housing benefits for Clinician/Educators) on their home pages.
- New junior faculty can learn about the Connections program and more on the Assistant Professors page.
- The Transitions page informs senior faculty members about school and university policies and recommendations having to do with work/life transitions, with particular focus on retirement, the FRIP program, and emeritus status.
- Acting Faculty, Consulting Faculty, Emeritus/Emerita Faculty Recalls, Visiting Faculty, and Visiting Scholars each have a home page describing the titles and how to appoint them under the Other Teaching Titles tab.
