Troubleshooting Tips for Level 1-4 Required Training:

Mac OS X:

  • Safari web browser is not supported by the vendor and users report that it does not work.
  • Firefox, Camino, & Mozilla are not considered supported browsers by the vendor, however, many users have found that they do work adequately.
  • The vendor officially supports Internet Explorer or Netscape for OS X. You can download Internet Explorer & Netscape from the Essential Stanford Software page for Macs.
  • Only the text-and-graphics mode is supported for Internet Explorer on the Mac. This is because IE does not support scripting of plug-ins on the Mac.

If you are having problems logging into the training system:

  • Double check you are using the correct assigned unique identifier and first & last name.
  • Assigned unique identifiers:
    • Physicians on the Medical Staff of LPCH/SHC: Use your dictation number.
    • LPCH/SHC Employees: Use first 4 letters of last name and last 4 digits of social security # (i.e. SMIT1234)
    • All others: Use the unique ID provided to you by your department manager/HIPAA Lead. In many cases this is your SUNet ID.
  • If you still have a problem logging in, please contact your HIPAA Lead or manager to ensure that the information you have is correct.

If you are having problems getting to the login screen or after logging in:

  • Try restarting your computer

  • Do not run any other programs while running the training program
